Rebar Take Off
What is rebar takeoff ?
Rebar estimating- quantitative analysis of the tonnage of steel required for a construction project. It is done by • Calculating the cutting length of steel for a specific element. • Then, multiplying it by weight of steel per meter length (the weight per unit length value is calculated separately for a given dia of steel bar) • Finally, summing up the steel for all the elements and members present in that project. This can be done manually, using spreadsheets or other softwares. Although it is not possible to provide exact quantities, a fairly accurate estimate is helpful in saving cost, material, and time.
